Global Manufacturing Group has successfully achieved the certifications of the Quality requirements for Fusion welding of metallic materials under the ISO Standard 3834-2 and also Railway applications – Welding of railway vehicles and components under the EN Standard of 15085.
The dual certification audit took place during the period of the 15th to the 17th of December and was passed without any minor or major Non Conformities. The auditor, from the certifying company WA and IIS, congratulated Global Manufacturing Group for a great job done adapting the Welding Quality Management Systems to the standards.
The journey to certification has been quite exciting yet challenging and was started more than 2 years ago. The journey was made even more difficult due to the delay caused by the Global Covid 19 pandemic which stopped auditors from passing over the border for several months. GMG is now one of 4 Australian companies to achieve certification to the EN 15085 standard and 2 of these are already GMG’s Major Clients in that sector. The 2 new certifications compliment and work well within GMG’s existing ISO 9001:2015 systems.
The company is very proud of this success and in particular of all the team members involved in achieving this excellent result. This is a great result for GMG as a Company and now opens the door to the international manufacturing market.
