Global Manufacturing Group are proud to be the employer of more than 10 females across both of our sites in Maryborough and Gladstone.

This week, a handful of our Maryborough staff were given the opportunity to attend a #womeninmanufacturing forum presented by The Australian Industry Group and the Department of Regional Development for Manufacturing and Water.

The convention allowed for the industry to discuss visions, pathways, stories and advice for young women interested to enter or experience the manufacturing industry and recognise how “greater workforce diversification and equality” can support further innovation by growth in our sector.

Mel Ireland of Australian Industry Group with Guest Speakers – Acting Supervisor of the Glulam Automated Plant and General Manager of Hyne Timber – People and Cultural Advisor for Downer EDI and Director of Wade Sawmill – created a diverse and powerful conversation that left our staff obliged to seek ways in which we can continue to recognise the integral part that our female staff have in operation and innovation. Global Manufacturing Group will continue to seek out changes in #breakingthebias by encouraging and endorsing training, self-improvement and team building which enhances staff satisfaction, productivity and results. We are driven to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our team offering a diverse and inclusive workplace for all.
