The Maryborough team at Global Manufacturing Group have recently learnt about the achievements of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk (Father of the Turks) during fabrication work completed on the Queens Park Military Project (The Gallipoli to Armistice Memorial).

In 2015, Maryborough’s local council launched the beginning stages of the War Memorial which now features story-boards, vision, audio, the “Soldier of Pozieres” statue (Duncan Chapman – the first allied solider to step onto the exposed shores of Gallipoli) and the newly unveiled brass profile sculpture of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk.

This memorial, now being recognised as “the most unique of its kind outside of Canberra”, has been acknowledged by members of the Turkish communities across the Globe with Mr. Turgut Manli (The Turkish Consul General for Queensland and donator of the original brass profile) receiving many comments on the inauguration.
