Through the aid of the Australian Government Sovereign Industrial Capability Program, Global Manufacturing Group are reaching world stages in terms of their design and manufacturing capabilities. In early October 2019, GMG purchased a Bystronic VML Fibre Laser that was jointly funded by the Government.

The grants were available to Australian Companies to help build a “Robust, Resilient and Competitive defence industry utilising Australian jobs and knowledge.” Global Manufacturing Group were awarded the funds to purchase this new state-of-the-art equipment to be used in their manufacture of parts and assemblies for our defence industry.

The innovative equipment has allowed GMG to have maximum flexibility to fulfil large and spontaneous customer orders. The high-performance, fibre cutting head, excels with maximum precision in both thin and thick sheets and thanks to the unique inbuilt BeamShaper option it allows clean cutting edges and high operational reliability in a wide range of steel sheet qualities.

The improvements allowing GMG to provide high-quality products and an operation that can be relied upon. Manufacturing all metal components; simple to intricate, light to heavy, small to large.
